We have been working with UHY Consultancy UK for almost two years having brought them in initially to support the construction of a modelling tool to support a bid for a 10 year contract.  This was later developed into our business planning model which helped the Board to plan accurately for win/loss scenarios, and to focus in on financial performance at a disaggregated divisional level. From the outset I was impressed with UHY Consultancy UK’s technical knowledge, ability to pick up things quickly and ease at forming relationships with colleagues across the business.  They worked effectively with a range of stakeholders including executive and board members.  All members of the UHY Consultancy UK team were instantly credible, very able to work independently and to sensitively but effectively challenge the status quo in order to achieve a high quality result.  The output delivered would not have been possible with the existing skills and capacity in the substantive team, and the UHY Consultancy UK team brought new ideas and a refreshed rigour to our approach. Whilst keeping closely to and delivering their primary remit all members of the UHY Consultancy UK team were proactive at identifying wider areas for development, helping to raise the standard and improve financial processes and culture across the team.

During my assignment as interim CFO at Bristol Community Health CIC, I hired consultants from UHY Consultancy UK to develop a Service Line Reporting model, and a Long Term Financial Model.  Two consultants, Aaron Thomas and Lloyd Thomas, joined the team.  Unlike some consultants, Aaron and Lloyd quickly assimilated themselves  not only in to the the Finance team, but the wider leadership team.  They got to grips with a complex set of requirements very quickly, producing both service line reporting and the Long Term Financial Model in a robust and detailed way that provided valuable financial and activity  information to support the more effective management of the organisation.  With full support from Aaron and Lloyd, managers quickly started using service line reporting as an aid to decision making.  The Long Term Financial Model became an integral and indispensable tool in assessing new business opportunities, providing the means to model as many scenarios as were identified.  This is the second time I have hired UHY Consultancy UK, and as before I found them diligent, extremely knowledgeable, very hard working, and excellent team players, demonstrating an unwavering professionalism to delivering the output required.  They are always well presented and smartly dressed, and are terrific ambassadors for their organisation.
